PMC Sees New Opportunities in the Coastal Region

Throughout the Carolinas, the past five years have been a tough one for the housing industry. However, on the coast ranging from Holly Ridge to Sunset Beach, North Carolina to Charleston, South Carolina, Priestley Management cannot help but to get excited about the amount of communities that are going up!

“When driving to Holly Ridge, or Southport, NC, I cannot help but notice how many new communities the local developers are building. It makes me realize that people are buying here, which makes the association management business all more attractive on the coast,” said Kyle Priestley, Association Manager in Wilmington, NC. With new communities, comes the need for quality association management, which is why Priestley Management has opened  offices in Wilmington, North Carolina and Charleston, South Carolina. “I feel that the coast will be a big part of our future operations . We feel that our expertise can help associations along the coast,” said David Priestley, President of Priestley Management Company. “We have a lot of experience dealing with developers, and I look forward to working with ones in our coastal regions.”Wilimington photo

David Priestley opened Priestley Management Company in 1990 after working for Quadrant, INC in Myrtle Beach for 4 years. “I have always enjoyed working on the coast. I love the people and feel that Wilmington will provide us with a great market,” said David. However, with new developments comes a new challenge for management companies. They have to ask themselves, “How do I get the associations to believe in my company.”

Priestley Management does this through experience and expertise. They have over 200 years of management experience on staff and they are an Accredited Association Management Company, which most companies throughout the United States do not have. They have to rely on word of mouth, as conventional advertising does not always work. “Its tough to get your name out there in a new market, but once we do, people begin to realize just how good we are,” Said Lauren Priestley, who plays a vital role in marketing for PMC.Charleston

Furthermore, as new homes are built, more homeowners will be introduced to homeowners association living. Often, many times homeowners association can seem like they are nothing but a nuisance. However, if done right, HOA’s can be a very useful tool. They will often assist in helping to maintain your property values and they will make your community a beautiful place to live. Although many people may not believe in the rules and regulations, it is often the only way of achieving success in community living. “Homeowners should be glad that HOA’s are on the rise, as it can make your property values rise and your community look more appealing if management is done right, “said Gary Dunning, Association Manager in Charleston, S.C.Folly

Overall, the future seems bright for the housing market on the coast. This will provide great opportunity for the area. If the housing market continues to rise, it will provide jobs for electricians, plumbers, landscapers and other services, as they are needed throughout the se communities. “There’s no better feeling than helping other people get business,” said David Priestley. “It is always good to see things turn around and not only help my business, but the business that we work closely with.” If you wish to learn more about community associations, you can go to www.priestleymanagement.com, like the on Facebook, or follow them on twitter for the latest news.
